                    Hark! The Ark!

Hark! The Ark! by Patricia R. Labeda from Lifevest Publishing, Inc.

Since 1962, when prayer was banned from schools, rates of violence have shot up. More and more violence is being witnessed at schools and on the streets. Theft, car-jacking, and street shootings are now commonplace in news stories. Kids are killing kids as well as total strangers and even family members, possibly as a result of violent computer games and the like. The connection is glaring; before 1962, when Bible stories could be taught in schools, children had an inherent fear of reprisal resulting in far less juvenile crime. Hark! The Ark! Is a story about some of the animals on Noah's Ark. It is written for young children as an early introduction to the Bible story about the big flood, which was brought on by evil on Earth, and the command that motivated Noah to build an ark in order to transport two of each species to safety. The author hopes parents and grandparents will use Hark! The Ark! to teach their young children about good and evil.
