Traveling with infants

Traveling with an infant needs planning.

Since a baby is the extension of his mother, traveling is easy, especially if he is breath fed. He will sleep most of the time, and you don’t need to entertain them.

In case he is bottle-fed, you should carry bottles, nipples and a bottle brush.

You must consider packing enough diapers, baby wipes and diaper rash medications. Don’t forget extra pacifiers if he uses them for sleeping. You should carry at hand, at least three outfits, just in case. Prepare a carry on bag with the essentials.

Don’t forget to pack the medications and a thermometer. Take with you all your doctors’ phone numbers.

A backpack will be a must. You will need also a bassinette and at least a blanket.

Traveling with babies 6- 9 months

At that age, babies don’t sleep so much.

You should carry his favorite toy and whatever you think for entertaining.

If your vacation includes a time change, get prepare before you leave, shifting your schedule before altering the inners clock of your infant.

A stroller is a must. Take the umbrella type.

The beach

Beaches are a wonderful destination for kids of any age. Youngsters spend most of the time playing with the sand, the waves , pickng shells and building sandcastles.

With babies you should use extra care with the sun.

Don’t expose them to sun rays at critical times and don’t forget hats and the sun screen.

Camping

Your child should be over 5 years old to enjoy the experience of camping.

Infants are not a problem since you can keep them in a corral or a playpen.

Toddlers are actually a problem because they like to walk away from the site camp. Dress them in bright colors son you can see them

Prepare the child in advance about the joys of a vacation outdoors with no TV around.

If you choose a mountainous spot, be careful with the range of temperatures. A heavy jacket should not solve the problem. You should dress in layers. Bring a rain jacket since summer storms are very common.

Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses, Insects repellent and medications.

Don’t let kids to drink water unless you know is pure.

Destinations and Fun places and Activities

Museums, the opera and art galleries are probably fabulous places for adults to visit. But don’t pretend that your child will enjoy the experience as much as you do.

Not everyone can take their kids to Disneyland or Disneyworld.

Las Vegas and New Orleans are adult destinations. If you like to go there, check first for family activities and the availability of babysitting services.

Here you can find places or activities that your child will enjoy.

The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry: Love, Laughter, and Tears at the World's Most Famous Cooking School

The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry: Love, Laughter, and Tears at the World's Most Famous Cooking School by Kathleen Flinn from Viking Adult

A delightful true story of food, Paris, and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream

In 2003, Kathleen Flinn, a thirty-six-year-old American living and working in London, returned from vacation to find that her corporate job had been eliminated. Ignoring her mother’s advice that she get another job immediately or “never get hired anywhere ever again,” Flinn instead cleared out her savings and moved to Paris to pursue a dream—a diploma from the famed Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry is the touching and remarkably funny account of Flinn’s transformation as she moves through the school’s intense program and falls deeply in love along the way. Flinn interweaves more than two dozen recipes with a unique look inside Le Cordon Bleu amid battles with demanding chefs, competitive classmates, and her “wretchedly inadequate” French. Flinn offers a vibrant portrait of Paris, one in which the sights and sounds of the city’s street markets and purveyors come alive in rich detail. The ultimate wish fulfillment book, her story is a true testament to pursuing a dream. Fans of Julie & Julia, Almost French, and Eat, Pray, Love will be amused, inspired, and richly rewarded by this seductive tale of romance, Paris, and French food.

The Way of the Explorer: An Apollo Astronaut's Journey Through the Material and Mystical Worlds

The Way of the Explorer: An Apollo Astronaut's Journey Through the Material and Mystical Worlds by Edgar, Dr. Mitchell from New Page Books

In February 1971, as Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell hurtled earthward through space, he was engulfed by a profound sense of universal connectedness. He intuitively sensed that his presence and that of the planet in the window were all part of a deliberate, universal process and that the glittering cosmos itself was in some way conscious. The experience was so overwhelming Mitchell knew his life would never be the same.

For the next 35 years he embarked on another journey, an inward exploration of the ineffable mystery of human consciousness and being. Mitchell left NASA to form the Institute of Noetic Sciences. The Institute allowed him to initiate research in areas of study previously neglected by mainstream science and where he constructed a theory that could not only explain the mysteries consciousness, but the psychic event--what spiritualists call a "miracle," and scientists dismiss altogether.

Mitchell also created a new dyadic model of reality, revealing a self-aware universe not predetermined by the laws of physics, nor preordained by deities, nor infinitely malleable. While human actions are generally subject to the laws of physics, these laws are also influenced by the mind.

The Way of the Explorertraces two remarkable journeys--one through space and one through the mind. Together they fundamentally alter how we understand the miracle and mystery of being, and ultimately reveal mankind's role in its own destiny.

Dark Moon: Apollo and the Whistle-Blowers

Dark Moon: Apollo and the Whistle-Blowers by Mary D. Bennett from Adventures Unlimited Press

Using secret documents and analyzing thousands of NASA photographs of the Apollo 11 mission, the researchers delve, in great detail, into every aspect of this beguiling theory to answer the questions that won't go away:

                      * Was Neil Armstrong really the first man on the moon?

                      * Was a second craft going to the moon at the same time as Apollo 11?

                      * Is lethal radiation prevalent throughout deep space?

                      * What is wrong with the official account of the Apollo 13 accident?

                      * Was the live color TV feed from the moon not really live?

                      * Is it true that the lunar surface camera had no viewfinder?

                      * How was lighting used in the Apollo photographs if no lighting equipment was taken to the moon? The answers rock the foundation of trust in NASA and the U.S. space program!
